El artista coreano Young Kim y Stephenie Meyer, se unen para presentar a los ávidos fans de la saga Twilight esta novela gráfica dividida en dos partes que es el inicio de una posible y lucrativa versión para la conocida franquicia.

Debo de agregar antes de continuar que tengo en mi poder el primer tomo de la razón por la cual subo este post.  Aunque añadiendo que me gustó Crepúsculo y Luna Nueva, me decepcionó y desesperó Eclipse y casi no soporto Amanecer, la serie de Meyer sobre el bello y eterno adolescente vampiro Edward y Bella el amor de su vida la cual es mortal. 

 

Muchas adolescentes se derritieron literalmente con la historia Capuleto-Montesco, retratada en el primer Libro y esto le aseguró a Meyer una presencia casi obligatoria en todas las librerías alrededor del mundo. Porque seamos honestas ¿quien a sus diecisiete años no quiso un amor como lo es Edward Cullen en el sentido de romántico, detallista, muy expresivo y el cual demostrara su amor por nosotras arriesgando su propia vida? Todas vivimos en algún momento en esta fantasía y es de lo que Meyer se ha aprovechado como escritora de historia de fantasía y por supuesto, la consolidación de una franquicia que le ha dado todos los millones existentes y se ha vuelto motivo de culto y sus libros en mitos para pre pubertas y adolescentes y las no tan adolescentes.

Ahora bien, agreguen a la mezcla una novela gráfica para una historia que llevaría cinco libros (Sino hubiera sido por un desesperado que filtró el último libro sin terminar al Internet y se ha esparcido por toda la red, provocando que la autora se niegue en concluir la saga y tampoco con fecha de cuando la retomará y si acaso la continuará) y provocamos un frenesí por nuevas propuestas ligadas con estos Bellos Vampiros y su relación con la protagonista que al final, se volverá uno de ellos.

Y ha salido el primer tomo: Twilight la novela Grafica da honor a un mercado ávido por nuevas propuestas aunque eso involucre la misma trama ya conocida. Debo añadir que Meyer estuvo muy al pendiente del desarrollo del proyecto del coreano Young Kim y su resultado es en verdad atractivo: páginas y mas páginas de hermosas imágenes que nos relatan como era la visión mental de los personajes de Meyer; tenemos una Isabella Swan que dista mucho de la apariencia dada por Stewart en la versión cinematográfica.  También debo añadir que Edward es bastante atrayente para tratarse de una versión dibujada. Jacob Black trae consigo frescura a las páginas donde hace su aparición y tiene muchos matices parecidos a Lautner y por supuesto el punto adicional que llama la atención de la novela es que sigue la secuencia trabajada en el libro de Meyer y no toma "rumbos" o adaptaciones fuera de orden como ocurrió en la película.

 

De acuerdo, admito que la película no tenía porque seguir un orden estricto de la trama presentada por Meyer pero menos cambios habrían sido mas agradables; las cosas en la película ocurren demasiado rápido para darle el matiz necesario para volverla creíble.   

 

La adaptación en novela Gráfica viene a llenar la inconformidad de muchos fans de la serie y de los no tan fans al presentarle a una nueva versión de ver la historia en una vertiente. Añado que me agrada la presentación de portada dura y las paginas satinadas con las ilustraciones. Para quienes leen manga les resultará un poco incómodo tomar el orden de narrativa ya que difiere de la versión japonesa. 

La trama está bien condesada pero es clara y concisa. Lleno de detalles e ilustraciones bastante complejas adornan las 244 páginas del primer tomo que concluye con la salida de Bella del bosque luego de la revelación de Edward acerca de su identidad.

The drawing Korean artist Young Kim and Stephenie Meyers join forces to introduce to Twilight avid fans and followers of Graphic novels, the new version of the novel split in two parts.

 

Must add before I continue that I have the first book of this new adaptation, reason in which I do this post. Althought adding to this, I like Meyer´s work with Twilight and New Moon, was dissapointed and anoyed by Eclipse and jump with exasperation, pages of Breaking Dawn, all part of the series written by Meyer about the beautiful and eternal teen Vampire named Edward  and Bella the love of his life, which this one is mortal.

 

Many teenagers literally melted by the "Montesque-Capulet" trama portrayed in the first book and that assured Meyer´s work to be present and almost every bookshelve around the globe. I mean let´s be honest: who in their early sixteen-seventeen wouldn´t wanted a love like Edward´s? He is romantic, fond of detail, quite expresive and would risk his own life to prove his love for us?  We all lived that time in this fantasy and that is exactly what Meyer took advantage of as a writer in this type of series and of course, the consolidation of a franchise giving more millions of dollars she could dream of and became the reason of cult and her books in myths for pre-teens, teens and not so teens anymore.

 

Now add to the mixture a graphic novel to a story with five books in their profile (counting the one not finished who was stolen from a computer and filtered in the internet, provoking the author to never finish the saga and neither a date to return to the "Twilight pages"), or new proposals involving these corgeous vampires and their relationship with the leading character until the end, became one of them.

 

And the first volume is out: Twilight the Graphic Novel gives honor to an avid market for new proposals even that involves the same plot already familiar to Twilight readers. Must add that Meyer was very aware of the development of this proyect by the Korean Young Kim and the result is quite atractive: Pages and pages of beautiful drawings that tell us the begining giving us a glimpse of the faces in Meyer´s head for the characters; we have a Isabella Swan that is so different from Stewart portrayed in the films. Must add also, that Edward is quite appealing for a portrait. Jacob Black brings with his presence in drawings so many similar aspects of Lautner´s. And of course the plus that calls upon our attention of the Graphic novel is that follows the book´s plot and doens´t wandered around like  happened in the first film.

 

Okey I admit it that the movie wasn´t forced to follow a lineup of the Plot writen by Meyer but less changes would been more nice; things just in the movie ocurs so fast to give the needed shade to turn it somehow more reliable.

 

This graphic novel comes to fill the void created by many fans who din´t like so much the first movie and no so fans of the books by introducing a new way to enjoy the story. Adding the fact that I love the hard cover and the satin pages for only 11.00 US. For those out there who are fans of manga, would be a little difficult to read on for the way is published that is so different from Japanese Graphic Novels and Stories.

 

The plot is well condensed, clear and without wastes. Full of details which speaks for themselves, fill the 244 pages of the first volume that concludes with the confrontation of Edward and Bella in the forest about Edward´s true nature.
